Linking My Account

How can I view all my health records in one place in MyChart?

If you've been seen at more than one healthcare organization, you likely have multiple health records. MyChart lets you pull all of your medical records together and view them in one place whether you use the mobile app or the website. This is called Happy Together.

By securely connecting your accounts from participating organizations, information from those organizations appears right in your MyChart, including:

  • allergyAllergies
  • health recordHealth History
  • medicationsMedications
You also might be able to view and interact with the following:
  • messagesMessages
  • test resultsTest Results
  • appointmentsAppointments and Visits
  • providerCare Team Members

How do I know which other health organizations link with my ARC MyChart account?

  • Log in to MyChart and navigate to Link My Accounts.
  • From the Discover tab, view the list of visited organizations or search for organizations in your area.
  • Click the Link account button for each organization you’d like to link.

Will my ARC care team also see this information?

Your ARC care team may see this information if the organization you are linked to participates in the Care Everywhere record sharing program between organizations to provide you with coordinated care. If you have questions about what data is shared, you can contact the other organization to ask about their participation in the program and their settings. Linking your MyChart accounts is separate from organizations sharing health information.

Why doesn't the organization I want to link to show up in the search results?

  • They may not use the same electronic health record, Epic.
  • They may require that your ARC care team exchange your medical record with them first.

How can I tell what health information is from which organization?

  • This icon external symbol means the information is coming from an outside organization.
  • Tap the symbol on a mobile device or hover over the symbol on a desktop to see where the information is coming from.

How can I stop seeing information from an organization I’ve linked?

  • Navigate to the Link My Accounts activity to unlink accounts
  • From the Linked accounts tab, click the Unlink button under the organization.
  • Information from that organization will no longer show in your MyChart account.
  • That organization remains on your Discover tab if you want to relink it.

What happens to my data when I unlink an organization?

  • That data no longer displays in your MyChart.
  • It does not impact what your care team can access from other organizations.

What if I don’t want my ARC care team to access external data?

  • Please contact the other organization directly and notify them.

I can see other people’s information (such as my child) at a different organization. When my accounts are linked, can I also see that information here?

Yes, you might also be able to view their information here after linking an account if:

  • The other healthcare organization uses MyChart and allows you to see the health information.
  • You have a MyChart account at ARC and at the other healthcare organization.
  • Your account at both organizations has access to that patient’s information.

How is my information protected?

We carefully protect the privacy and security of your information using different physical, administrative, and technical controls. When your information is shared, your record is encrypted and delivered in a secure, electronic format.

Common Questions

What if I do not recognize an organization that appears on my list of accounts?

You will see organizations where you have a medical record in their system. Sometimes, a name might not look familiar because:

  • A clinic might use a name that is different from the name of the organization that owns the clinic.
  • An organization where you were seen a long time ago might have changed its name since the last time you were seen there.

If you have concerns about your information at that location, you should contact that organization.

What do the notification bubbles for the linked organizations mean?

When you link organizations, you may see the following notification bubbles in the Other Providers section of the home page.

Why can’t I see certain information from my linked organizations?

Sometime you cannot see some information from linked organizations because:

  • You do not have an active account.
  • They do not have that information documented.
  • Identical information from both organizations is not marked with the external symbol symbol
  • The linked organization does not allow patients to view that information.
  • For test results, the Show field at the top of the test results page should be set to “show test results from all organizations.”

Why can’t I message a doctor at the linked organization?

Sometimes you cannot send a message to a provider at linked organizations because:

  • You do not have an active account.
  • That provider or organization might not allow messaging.
  • If you have sent messages through the linked organization’s portal in the past, you might have to log in to your account at the linked organization to access this feature.

What do I do if I believe there is a mistake in the information I see?

  • If you believe there is a mistake with the information you see in your MyChart account, contact the organization listed in the bubble that appears when you tap or hover over the external symbol symbol. If there is no external symbol symbol, this information is coming from us, so call our help desk at 512-ARC-HELP (512-272-4357) 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
